Scones are yummy all on their own, but adding a little bit of glaze on top of the scones just kicks it up a notch!

This glaze comes together so quickly, is absolutely divine, and raises the hazelnut factor- especially on top of our Nutella scone recipe!

Nutella scone glaze is perfect for scones, of course, but you could use this for cookies, cupcakes, or drizzle over your favorite dish of ice cream!

Glaze or Frosting

So, what is the difference between glaze and frosting?

Glaze is a very thin frosting that you can drizzle over baked goods rather than a thick spread-like frosting. I like glaze because it doesn't mask or take over the flavor of what is underneath. A glaze should enhance the flavor of whatever it is on top of!

How to Store Nutella Glaze

If you have some glaze left over, pour it into an airtight container and place in the refrigerator. This will keep for up to 2 weeks. When ready to use, let the glaze come to room temperature.
